Quick facts

About Butternut

Butternut spent weeks hiding in the hay after arriving, and the volunteers learned to talk quietly while cleaning. Now he comes to the front of the cage to greet the morning shift with a chirp, a nose sniff and an impatient wheek for breakfast. A calm household that does floor time daily would see him come right out of his shell.
